How the Fusion Pod Works

Each fusion combines two Deviant Parents. The pod picks one parent to donate its Power level, and one for Mood — these can be different parents.

~44% of the time the Left parent wins Power; ~49% the Right parent wins Mood. The trend shifts over time — this tracker watches which side has been winning lately and recommends where to place your best deviant.

~9.8% chance of a +1 upgrade on either axis (rare +2 also possible). ~2% chance of a downgrade.

Place the deviant with the higher Power rating on the trending Power side, and similarly for Mood. A 5/4 + 3/5 or 5/3 + 4/5 split is smart — you still hit 5/5 if the trend holds, but if it flips you land on a 4 instead of a 3, which is much easier to recover from.

About Trait Retention

Each trait slot copies independently — think of it like flipping a weighted coin once per slot. The percentage shown is the probability that that individual trait successfully copies to the offspring.

Here's the catch: each trait has to succeed on its own. So the combined chance that all traits copy multiplies down fast. Three traits at 80% each only gives you about a 51% shot at keeping them all — essentially a coin flip every fusion.

The "All copied" row at the bottom shows the real probability that every trait survives the fusion — that's the one to watch when you're trying to preserve a full stack.
